2020 Cache Valley Cowboy Rendezvous

Sharing so cowboy wisdom and poems with Sam Deleeuw and Chris Mortensen at Wellsville Elementary.

Packing in my saddle so we can demonstrate a cowboy bunk and let some of the kids see how "comfortable" it was to sleep on a cattle drive.

Sharing a poem.

Sharing some cowboy wisdom at a local elementary school.

Lorin Price wanted to take a pic of us under a windmill for Yvonne Hollenbeck.  She graciously let me learn and perform her poem "Natures Church". I performed it at Cowboy Church.  Lorin wanted a pic of us to share with Yvonne.  I get to hang out with the nicest folks.

Sharing my poem "The Hunt" and a little hunter knowledge with the entire school at Ellis Elementary.  Fun day!

Cowboy Church and as always Chris Mortensen has my back with amazing accompaniment.

My mom likes to take pictures.

School Project

Some of you know that I have been making knives for about a year. I have a project through my school, Leadership Academy of Utah, where the actual project is doing a fundraiser to raise money for pennies4picturesbooks that uses the funds to help kids and families in Central America. I have decided to try to sell some custom knives. The picture is an example of my work. To keep it simple I am going to offer drop point or clip point blades in mono steel AKA plain steel or raindrop or twist Damascus. Blade length will between 4 and 6 inches. Customers choice. Overall length will be no more than 11 inches. The mono steel will be $50 and the Damascus will be $75. The handle will be kiln dried hard wood. My goal is to raise $200 for this project. If you are interested in ordering a knife please comment below or private message me.

Cache Valley Cowboy Rendezvous March 6-8 2020

I am so honored to be a part of the 2020 Cache Valley Cowboy Rendezvous.  This is where I first learned about Cowboy Poetry.  This is where I entered a contest and began this journey.  I am so grateful to be asked to perform on the Friday Night Opry and be a part of something that has changed my life.

Starting Over

So about 4 years ago my mom started a blog for my cowboy poetry adventures.  We used it to share info and chronicle my journey.  Unfortunately, one wrong keystroke and it was all gone.  Instead of going all the way back to the beginning  I am just going to start from last falls adventures and move forward.  We might stick some old memories in along the way.
